"damon was hungover one morning, and in that confused state, began playing a guitar riff in giant circles. sometimes, it eases your brain to hear things in a slow cycle like that. a brain massage that began to shape into a song. then we rode bikes and i fought some tremendous battles with the small hills of kansas city. this left me in a similar state with damon, making the rest of the song leak out of our tremendously pooped bodies."
